Abstract(s)
Partindo de uma experiência piloto com vários grupos intergeracionais
da cidade de Viana do Castelo, este artigo é uma
descrição reflexiva sobre o projeto “Uma Cidade Boa para
Viver” e tem como objetivo problematizar o planeamento
cultural (PC) e a ciência cidadã (CC) como novas abordagens
para um desenvolvimento urbano sustentável (DUS). Sustentando-
se em metodologias de participação investigativa
e técnicas prospetivas, o artigo discute as conceções do cidadão
comum de “uma cidade boa para viver”, a pertinência
das mesmas no plano político-normativo dos Objetivos de
Desenvolvimento Sustentável (ODS), bem como a utilização
das técnicas colaborativas em tais exercícios. Os primeiros
resultados desta investigação-ação revelam consonância
entre os planos individuais e de grupo (as conceções de
sustentabilidade do cidadão comum), e os planos transformacionais
pretendidos (os ODS), evidenciando o potencial
das metodologias colaborativo-educativas e o papel do
cientista social como planeador cultural na consciencialização
dos cidadãos num quadro de DUS.
Starting from a project with several intergenerational groups in the city of Viana do Castelo, this text is a reflective description of the project “A Good City for Living” and aims to problematize cultural planning (CP) and citizen science (CC) as approaches to sustainable urban development (SUD). Based on investigative participation methodologies and prospective techniques, the article discusses how the conceptions of the common citizen of a “city that is good to live”, an orientation to the same political-normative plan of the Sustainable Development Objectives (SDO), as well as Collaborative techniques in such exercises. The first results of this action-research reveal consonance between the individual and group plans (as sustainability concepts of the common citizen), and the intended transformative plans, evidencing the potential of collaborative-educational methodologies and the role of the social scientist as a cultural glider in the awareness of the citizens within a SUD framework.
