O texto que aqui apresentamos constitui uma primeira abordagem de um tema complexo que procuraremos vir a aprofundar e tratar com maior fôlego num futuro próximo. O estudo dos lugares de digressão do monarca e do respectivo séquito de burocratas a que procedemos tem por base o levantamento e tratamento informatizado dos diplomas da Chancelaria de D. Duarte e de D. Afonso V. As imagens de mudança e de transposição espacio-temporal pelos homens do poder são-nos fornecidas através da delimitação dos percursos, dos locais de destino ou dos lugares de permanência regular das várias instâncias governativas. Por conseguinte, a articulação e hierarquização espacial das instâncias do poder é um dos principais objectivos deste estudo.
The text here presented constitutes a first approach to a complex theme, which, hopefully, we will have the opportunity of studying in more depth in a near future. The present study of the places of digression of the monarch and respective suite of bureaucrats is based on the survey and computer treatment of the diplomas of the Chancelleries of D. Duarte and D. Alphonse V. The images of change and space-time transpositions undergone by the men of power are conveyed by the circumscription of the routes, the destinations, and the places of regular sojourn of the different government instances. Therefore, the articulation and spatial hierarchy of the instances of power is one of the main aims of the present study.
