Este trabajo intenta resumir el desarrollo de la poesía contemporánea chilena desde los
años cincuenta hasta el presente. Para ello se hace un análisis de las diversas transformaciones
que operan en los diferentes momentos históricos: la ruptura de la poesía de
los cincuenta con las vanguardias, la poesía de cambio y continuidad en los sesenta, los
cambios y clausuras transitorias durante el período dictatorial (en el exilio y el insilio) y
finalmente, el panorama de las nuevas promociones que fluctúan entre la rebeldía y el conformismo. This work attempts to sumarizes the development of Chilean Contemporary Poetry from
the fifties until today. For that purpose, it analizes the diverse transformations that operate
in different epochs, that is, the detachment of the fifties poetry from the avant garde,
the continuity and change in the sixties, the changes and transitory seclusion during
the dictatorship (exile and insilio) and finally, it presents a panoramic vision on the new generations and their fluctuations between rebellion and conformity.
