Abstract(s)
chave “endodontics irrigation”, “ sodium hypoclorite”, “EDTA”, “chohorhexidine”,
“MTAD”, “citric acid”, “alcohol”, “pain in endodontics”, “ irrigation of systems”.
Introduction: Irrigation is critical to get a successful Endodontic Treatment. The best irrigator should have a number of characteristics, non-toxic, be fungicide, antimicrobial action effect may not cause adverse effects among others. The purpose of this paper is to analyze the function of each irrigator and their not indications. Material and methods: The literature of this work was held in the library at the University Fernando Pessoa and search engines such as Science Direct, Scielo, B-on and Pubmed from January to October 2015 with the following words - key "endodontics irrigation" , "sodium hypoclorite" "EDTA" "cholorhexidine" "MTAD", "citric acid", "alcohol", "pain in endodontics," "irrigation of systems". These words were combined in several ways, books were also used. Results and discussion: Irrigation is largely responsible for the success of the Endodontic Treatment. It is essential to know and understand the function of each irrigator and its advantages, contraindications and mechanism of action. It is important to know what type of microorganisms that exists in primary and secondary infection. It is important to have knowledge of the types of irrigation there being the most used conventional (syringe needle). Conclusion: This study, conclude that Endodontics is one of the most common areas faced by the dentists. The irrigator most universally used is NaOCl. The most common microorganisms are the strict anaerobic bacteria.
