As restaurações parciais indiretas em cerâmica oferecem aos pacientes a possibilidade de obter uma reabilitação funcional esteticamente agradável, não muito destrutiva para a estrutura dentária remanescente e, por outro lado, permitem uma reprodução fiel da anatomia dentária.
Este trabalho de revisão narrativa visa abordar a temática das restaurações parciais indiretas em cerâmica, visando justificar a aplicabilidade desta técnica através das suas indicações e limitações. Foi executada uma pesquisa bibliográfica na base de dados PubMed/Medline e Google Scholar.
Vários fatores determinam o sucesso e a sobrevivência a longo prazo destas restaurações.
Estudos recentes são conclusivos sobre o interesse e eficiência desta técnica, no entanto o conhecimento dos protocolos clínicos em constante evolução mostra-se necessário para assegurar a sua adequada aplicabilidade clínica.
Indirect partial ceramic restorations offer patients the possibility to achieve a functional rehabilitation that is aesthetically pleasing, not too destructive to the remaining tooth structure and, on the other hand, allows a faithful reproduction of the dental anatomy. This narrative review aims to address the theme of indirect partial ceramic restorations in order to justify the applicability of this technique through its indications and limitations. A literature search was performed in PubMed/Medline and Google Scholar. Several factors determine the success and long-term survival of these restorations. Recent studies are conclusive about the interest and efficiency of this technique, however the knowledge of the clinical protocols in constant evolution is necessary to ensure its adequate clinical applicability.
