Introdução: O crescimento da esperança mĂ©dia de vida, tem implicaçÔes importantes para a qualidade de vida, acarretando consequĂȘncias nas diferentes dimensĂ”es da vida humana. O avanço da idade aumenta a probabilidade de desenvolver patologias e prejudicar a funcionalidade fĂsica, psĂquica e social.
Objetivo: Mapear a influĂȘncia dos cuidados de enfermagem na qualidade de vida dos idosos institucionalizados.
Métodos: Scoping review, com recurso às bases de dados: MEDLINE e CINAHL. As palavras-chave foram validadas como descritoras MeSH é definida como frase booleana: (Elderly) AND (Nurs*) AND (Long Term Care) OR (Institutionalization) AND (Quality Of Life).
Resultados: Foram identificados 607 artigos sendo que apenas 2 reuniram os critĂ©rios necessĂĄrios para a sua inclusĂŁo neste trabalho. Os estudos relacionaram a qualidade de vida dos idosos com a autonomia e saĂșde mental dos idosos.
ConclusĂ”es: Esta revisĂŁo destacou a importĂąncia da individualização dos cuidados de enfermagem na melhoria da qualidade de vida dos idosos institucionalizados. Os resultados reforçam a necessidade de estratĂ©gias de cuidado que integrem, de maneira sistemĂĄtica, a saĂșde mental e o respeito Ă individualidade como pilares fundamentais das intervençÔes de enfermagem.
Introduction: The increase in average life expectancy has important implications for quality of life, with consequences for the different dimensions of human life. Advancing age increases the likelihood of developing pathologies and impairing physical, psychological and social functionality. Objective: To map the influence of nursing care on the quality of life of institutionalized elderly people. Methods: Scoping review, using the Medline Complete and CINAHL Plus databases. The keywords were validated as MeSH descriptors and defined as a Boolean phrase: (Elderly) AND (Nurs*) AND (Long Term Care) OR (Institutionalization) AND (Quality of Life). Results: 607 were identified, of which only 2 met the necessary criteria for inclusion in this work. The studies related the quality of life of the elderly with the autonomy and mental health of the elderly. Conclusions: This review highlighted the importance of individualized nursing care in improving the quality of life of institutionalized elderly people. The results reinforce the need for care strategies that systematically integrate mental health and respect for individuality as fundamental pillars of nursing interventions.
