A malária é uma das principais doenças infecciosas em regiões tropicais e subtropicais,
e continua a ser um relevante problema de saúde pública em Angola. A doença é a
causa de vários óbitos no país, principalmente de mulheres grávidas e crianças. Um
diagnóstico errôneo ou tardio pode acarretar complicações no tratamento da doença.
Situações socioeconômicas e culturais estão ligadas diretamente ao comportamento do
governo, bem como o da população frente à doença. Não só a saúde da população é
afetada com a falta de cuidados em geral para com a doença, mas também o
desenvolvimento social da mesma.
Este trabalho é um estudo da situação da Malária em Angola, focado nas condições da
cidade de Luanda. Baseou-se em estudos já existentes e em pesquisas de dados da
Clínica Multiperfil, um importante polo de saúde do país.

The disease is the cause of several deaths in the country, mainly of pregnant women and children. An erroneous or late diagnosis can lead to complications in the treatment of the disease. Socioeconomic and cultural situations are directly linked to the behavior of the government, as well as that of the population in face of the disease. Not only is the population's health affected by the general lack of care for the disease, but also its social development. This work is a study of the situation of Malaria in Angola, focused on the conditions of the Luanda city. The work was based in existing studies and data research from the Multiperfil Clinic, an important health center in the country.
