Santos, Filipa; Peixoto, VâniaOs indivíduos portadores de Síndrome de Asperger apresentam dificuldades ao nível da comunicação verbal e não-verbal, manifestando alterações linguísticas frequentes ao nível pragmático e semântico, embora a componente morfossintáctica se encontre, geralmente, adequada. Este artigo tem como objectivo a realização de uma abordagem sintética e actual, acerca da linguagem no Síndrome de Asperger, tentando traçar o perfil linguístico destes indivíduos. Consiste numa abordagem metodológica qualitativa, sendo constituído por uma revisão bibliográfica e por um estudo de caso que procura ilustrar conceitos e teorias relativas a esta patologia. The Asperger Syndrome carriers have difficulties on verbal and non-verbal communication, showing frequent linguistic changes at the semantic and pragmatic level, although the morphosyntatic component is generally adequated. This article aims at making a synthetic and actual approach about the language in patients with Asperger Syndrome, and trying to track this individual’s linguistic profile. This article shows a qualitative approach, and it’s composed by a literature review and by a case study that seeks to illustrate concepts and theories related to this condition.
