- Funcionalidade nos pacientes com AVE com e sem programa de fisioterapiaPublication . Ndamenaposy, Altina Mwetuhanga; Festas, ClarindaIntrodução: O Acidente Vascular Encefálico (AVE), resulta da suspensão do aporte sanguíneo ao Encéfalo,acarretando alterações motoras, da linguagem, da percepção e cognitivas.O objectivo deste estudo,foi identificar e analisar a funcionalidade em pacientes com AVE, com e sem programa de fisioterapia. O estudo foi composto por 17 sujeitos, 70,6% do sexo feminino, 24% masculino com idade compreendida entre 29 a 72 anos, 12 sujeitos não realizaram fisioterapia, e 5 sujeitos realizaram um programa de fisioterapia. Foi avaliada a funcionalidade, com o Índice de Barthel. Os resultados demonstraram não existirem alteraçõesestatisticamente significativas na funcionalidade em pacientes que realizaram um programa de fisioterapia versus os que não realizaram o programa. Contudo verificou-se valores da funcionalidade ligeiramente superiores, no grupo que faz o programa de fisioterapia nassubcategorias, alimentação, banho e mobilização embora não significativas. Introduction: Stroke resulting of the suspension of blood supply to the Brain resulting motor disorders, language, perception and cognitive disorders. The aim of this study was to identify and analyze functionality in stroke patients, with and without physical therapy program. The study consisted of 17 subjects, 70.6 % female, 24% male aged between 29 and 72 years, 12 subjects have not a program of physiotherapy, and 5 subjects have a program of physiotherapy. Functionality was assessed by the Barthel Index. The results showed there were no statistically significant changes in functionality in patients who do a physical therapy program versus those who did not do the program. However it was found values slightly higher in functionality on group that makes physical therapy program in subcategories, feeding, bathing and mobilization, although notstatistically significant.
