Abstract(s)
Neste estudo baseado em revisão de literatura, propôs-se definir as doenças
peri-implantares, como peri-implantite e mucosite. Correlacionando-os com possíveis
indicadores de risco, sendo eles, controle de placa deficiente, história anterior de doença
gengival, fatores genéticos, fumo, diabetes, fenótipo periodontal, factores biomecânicos,
cimento residual, tratamento de superfície do implante e factores protésicos. Conclui-se que
as patologias peri-implantares estão relacionadas com os indicadores de risco descritos
neste trabalho, sendo de grande importância seu conhecimento no momento do
planeamento e previamente a instalação dos implantes dentários, a fim de garantir o sucesso
e um prognóstico favorável deste tipo de tratamento.
In this study based on literature review, it was proposed to define peri-implant diseases, such as peri-implantitis and mucositis. Correlating them with possible risk indicators, such as poor plaque control, previous history of gingival disease, genetic factors, smoking, diabetes, periodontal phenotype, biomechanical factors, residual cement, implant surface treatment and prosthetic factors. It is concluded that the peri-implant pathologies are related to the risk indicators described in this study, being of great importance their knowledge at the moment of planning and before the installation of the dental implants, in order to guarantee the success and a favorable prognosis of this type of treatment.
