Abstract(s)
O nervo lingual é um dos nervos sensitivos mais importantes da cavidade oral e é muito
delicado, devido à sua localização e à sua anatomia. Aliás, podemos destacar que o nervo
lingual tem várias variações anatómicas que podem tornar difícil os atos clínicos e, em
alguns casos, podem levar a lesionar o próprio nervo e por isso devemos localizá-lo bem.
As causas principais das lesões do nervo são as cirurgias na região, técnicas anestésicas
e reabilitações. Os diversos tratamentos para a sua recuperação têm vindo a ser estudados,
alguns são controversos e, por isso, foi desenhado uma classificação objetiva e rigorosa
para comparar e avaliar os resultados dos diferentes casos clínicos.
The lingual nerve is one of the most important sensory nerves of the oral cavity and is very delicate due to its location and anatomy. Incidentally, we can note that the lingual nerve has several anatomical variations that can make clinical acts difficult and in some cases can lead to injure the nerve itself and so we should locate it well. The main causes of nerve injuries are surgeries in the area, anesthetic techniques, rehabilitation. The various treatments for its recovery have been studied, some are controversial and therefore an objective and rigorous classification was designed to compare and evaluate the results of the different clinical cases.
