As associações de imigrantes brasileiros: espaços de e para a cidadania

Ao abordar-se o movimento associativo dos imigrantes brasileiros em Portugal, dá-se
um especial enfoque à construção e à importância das associações como espaços de
participação e de cidadania. Analisar-se-á como estes imigrantes constroem a sua cidadania
em território português, assim como se descreverá e se caracterizará o papel
das associações na reivindicação de direitos e nas dinâmicas de cidadania mobilizadas.
This article discusses the associative movement of Brazilians in Portugal with a special
focus on the building and importance of those associations as places for participation
and citizenship. It is important here to analyze how these immigrants build their citizenship
in Portuguese territory as well as identify and understand the associations’ role in
the rights and in the dynamics of citizenship mobilized.
