A violência doméstica é considerado um grande problema para a sociedade, sendo que está presente na mesma desde sempre e que cada vez mais é preocupante.
Portugal é um dos países em que este crime é mais reportado. Este crime tem muitas associações ao consumo de álcool, o que provoca o perdão por parte da vítima, sendo assim o crime não denunciado e oculto.
O consumo de álcool de maneira abusiva desencadeia atitudes agressivas, e principalmente para indivíduos que tenham tendências mais agressivas. Por vezes o consumo de álcool de forma equilibrada pode também ser considerado um fator de risco.
O projeto apresentado foca-se na violência por parte do homem contra a mulher e tem como objetivo compreender melhor os processos de violência doméstica em que o fator do álcool esteja presente, comparando a outros processos de violência doméstica que o fator do álcool não esteja presente.
Domestic violence is considered one of the society’s major problems, as it has always been present in it and is increasingly worrying. Portugal is one of the countries where this crime is most reported. Moreover, this crime has many associations with alcohol consumption, which cause forgiveness by the victim, making thus the crime unreported and hidden. The alcohol consumption in an abusive way triggers aggressive behaviour, mainly to individuals who have aggressive tendencies. However, sometimes, the alcohol consumption in a balanced way may be considered a risk factor as well. The focus of the presented project is the violence by men against women and aims to better understand the processes of domestic violence in which the alcohol factor is present, comparing to other processes of domestic violence in which the alcohol factor is not present.
