Abstract(s)
O presente estudo designado “As claques como uma subcultura: uma análise da violência no movimento ultra” compreendeu entender como é que as claques de futebol se constituem como uma subcultura. A investigação aborda ainda, a problemática da violência dentro do ambiente das claques pertencentes ao Movimento Ultra, de modo a procurar entender se a violência se assume como uma caraterística ou como um efeito perverso para este movimento.
Através da utilização da metodologia qualitativa e com recurso à proposta de análise de conteúdo de Laurence Bardin, nomeadamente com o apoio do conteúdo obtido através da realização de entrevistas semiestruturadas, procurámos compreender o porquê de as claques de futebol serem consideradas uma subcultura, assim como avaliar se os membros pertencentes a estas claques aderem a alguns dos conhecidos costumes da nossa cultura dominante. Na vertente referente à violência, averiguamos junto dos entrevistados se a violência faz parte da subcultura em questão, ou se pode considerar-se como um efeito perverso da mesma.
Nesta investigação, além da componente empírica previamente mencionada, equacionamos efetuar ainda uma exposição teórica alusiva aos temas do Hooliganismo e também do Movimento Ultra, com o intuito de obter um conhecimento aprofundado sobre as referidas temáticas.
The present study entitled “Football fan groups as a subculture: an analysis of violence in the ultra movement” tried to understand how football fan groups can be constituted as a subculture. The investigation also addresses the issue of violence within the environment of the fan groups who follow the ultra movement, in order to try and establish whether violence is assumed as characteristic or a perverse effect inside this movement. Throughout the use of qualitative methodology and resorting to Laurence Bardin’s content analysis proposal, namely with the support of the content obtained through semi-structured interviews, we sought to understand why football fan groups are usually considered a subculture, as well as evaluate whether members belonging to these fan groups adhere to some of the well-known customs of our dominant culture. In this investigation, in addition to the previously mentioned empirical component, we considered carrying out a theoretical exposition alluding to the themes of Hooliganism and also of the Ultra Movement, with the aim of obtaining in-depth knowledge about the referred themes.
