dc.description.abstractO que Ă© a Ă©tica? AtravĂ©s da filosofia e de alguns dos seus conceitos, propomo-nos retomar algumas das suas consideraçÔes que nos conduzem Ă s portas da Ă©tica. Procuramos definir o caminho do pensamento que conduz a esta porta. Obviamente, o homem estĂĄ no centro do debate e, em particular, a sua dignidade. A dignidade humana Ă© definida atravĂ©s do estatuto particular que o homem ocupa em relação aos outros seres vivos, e Ă© o garante de uma prĂĄtica mĂ©dica moderna. Quanto Ă  inteligĂȘncia artificial, a sua regulamentação e o seu objetivo (a substituição do homem pela mĂĄquina) Ă© uma ciĂȘncia nova que progride muito rapidamente. Ela induz, assim, a uma preocupação e, portanto, a uma reflexĂŁo, a fim de nĂŁo ser apenas em benefĂ­cio da tecnologia. A inteligĂȘncia artificial permite, sem controlo, o verdadeiro conforto do paciente, os melhores cuidados? É pela filosofia e a montante da Ă©tica, e depois pela prĂłpria Ă©tica, que podem ser refletidos os conceitos que preservam o lugar do homem, da sua dignidade e, por consequĂȘncia, do ato mĂ©dico. Seguir o caminho filosĂłfico, bifurcar pelos estatutos do ser vivo e depois pela Ă©tica, permite conservar no espĂ­rito os prĂłprios fundamentos da medicina. A elevada consideração que o sector mĂ©dico deve possuir pela dignidade humana, pelo bem-estar do paciente, nĂŁo Ă© negociĂĄvel e, no entanto, a inteligĂȘncia artificial poderia pĂŽ-la em risco.pt_PT
dc.description.abstractWhat is ethics? Through philosophy and some of its concepts, we propose to take up some of his considerations which bring us to the doors of ethics. We seek to define the path of thought which leads to this door. Obviously, man is at the centre of the debate and more particularly his dignity. Human dignity is defined through the status that man occupies with other living beings, and it is the guarantor of modern medical practice. As for artificial intelligence, its regulation, and its objective (the substitution of man by machine) is a new science that is progressing very quickly. It induces a concern therefore a reflection so as not to be only for the benefit of technology. Does it allow, without control, the real comfort of the patient, the best care? It is through philosophy and upstream from ethics, then through ethics itself that the concepts which preserve the place of man, his dignity, and consequently the medical act can be reflected. To take the philosophical path, to branch off by the statutes of the living, then by ethics allows keeping in mind the very foundations of medicine. The high consideration that the medical sector must maintain human dignity, for the well-being of the patient, is not negotiable and yet artificial intelligence could put it in danger.pt_PT
