Abstract(s)
Este trabalho aborda a evolução da atividade logística a nível mundial que é fortemente influenciada por conjuntos de tendências macroeconómicas, empresarias e de consumo, sendo necessário fomentar a eficiência ao longo da cadeia de abastecimentos. Para além disso, nos dias de hoje, devido as crescentes exigências por partes dos clientes, a logística apresenta-se como uma das mais promissoras áreas, criando oportunidades competitivas. A logística é um ramo da gestão, cujas suas atividades envolvem o controlo dos fluxos quer sejam eles matérias, de informação, humanos ou financeiros. Neste âmbito, a implementação de Sistemas de Informação, possibilita o acesso relevante e eficaz da informação, auxiliando e melhorando atividade logística. Assim, neste trabalho serão desenvolvidos os conceitos de logística, assim como da cadeia de abastecimento. Tendo como objetivo apresentar a importância de cada uma e apresentar o papel que os sistemas de informação assumem. Apresentando assim as suas soluções e melhorias, assim como, os critérios de seriação como os custos da implementação dos mesmos. Desta forma, considero um importante e alargado tema dentro da minha área, ciências empresarias, mais especificamente na gestão logística, cujo trabalho realizado prepara o futuro de gestores logísticos.
This work approach the evolution of logistics activities on a global level who is strongly influenced by macroeconomic, business and consumer trends. Because of that, it is necessary to promote efficiency throughout the supply chain. Furthermore, due to the growing demands of customers, logistic is one of the most promising areas creating competitive opportunities. Logistics is a management sector whose activities involve controlling the flow of materials, information, human and financial resources. In that way, the implementation of information systems allows the access to relevant and effective information, helping and improving the logistics activities. In this work, will be developed concepts about logistics and supply chain. The purpose is mainly to present the importance of each concept and the role played by information systems in each of them. Also, it is to present solutions and improvements, as well as criteria evaluation and the costs of implementing these systems. In conclusion, I consider this topic an important and wide-ranging subject in my area of study, business sciences. Specifically in logistics management, and I consider that this work could prepare logistics managers to the future.
