Abstract(s)
O envelhecimento das populaçÔes vem acompanhado pelo aumento da esperança mĂ©dia de vida e pelo decrĂ©scimo da natalidade, estas problemĂĄticas conduzem a novos desafios para as sociedades contemporĂąneas. Apesar de existir, nos dias de hoje, uma maior visibilidade para o fenĂłmeno da violĂȘncia contra as pessoas idosas, Ă© necessĂĄrio consciencializar e prevenir as populaçÔes sobre esta problemĂĄtica.
O presente projeto de graduação procura compreender o conceito do envelhecimento e as suas vulnerabilidades, definir as tipologias da violĂȘncia contra a pessoa idosa, quais os sinais de alerta da mesma, a sua prevalĂȘncia e as essenciais formas de prevenção do fenĂłmeno.
A parte final do projeto visa propor a implementação de um programa de prevenção de violĂȘncia contra as pessoas idosas, com o objetivo de consciencializar para esta problemĂĄtica, esclarecer sobre a materialização dos maus tratos, e aumentar o sentimento de segurança da comunidade idosa.
The aging populations are accompanied by an increase in average life expectancy and by the decrease of the birth rate, these problems lead to new challenges for contemporary societies. Although there is now a greater visibility for the phenomenon of violence against the elderly, it is necessary to raise awareness and prevent populations on this issue. This undergraduate project seeks to understand the aging process and its vulnerabilities, define the types of violence against the elderly, the warning signs, its prevalence and the essential forms of prevention of the phenomenon. The final part of the project aims to propose the implementation of a program to prevent violence against the elderly, with the objective of raising awareness of this problem, clarify about the materialization of the mistreatment, and increase the sense of security of the elderly community.
