Abstract(s)
Este trabalho tem como principal objetivo relacionar os comportamentos sexuais de risco dos jovens universitários com o abuso de substâncias. O álcool e as drogas ganham especial enfoque como potenciadores destes comportamentos de risco. A entrada para o ensino superior é um período propenso a novas experiências. O ambiente das conhecidas Festas académicas assume-se como um facilitador de consumos. O álcool ganhou uma nova relevância no seio das relações entre os jovens universitários. A experimentação e o desejo de testar os limites constitui para alguns jovens uma das consequências que a transição para o ensino superior acarreta. Alguns estudos têm vindo a demonstrar que os jovens estudantes apresentam um número mais elevado de consumo de substâncias comparativamente aos jovens não estudantes. Como principal consequência da intoxicação de substâncias temos os comportamentos sexuais de risco que podem resultar numa gravidez indesejada ou mais trágico nas doenças sexualmente transmissíveis, capazes de influenciar o normal decurso da vida do recém estudante.
This work has as it’s main goal to corelate the risky sexual behaviors of college freshmans with substance abuse. Alcohol and drugs gain especial focus as enablers of this risky behavior. The entry to superior education is a period that promotes new experiences. The atmosphere of the well-known Academic Parties is one that facilitates consumpion. Alcohol gained new relevence in the core of the relations of freshman. The experimenting and the wish to test the limits comes, for some freshman, as one of the consequences of the transition to college. Some studies have come to demonstrate that freshman present a higher number of consumption than non studying young man. As the main consequence of substance intoxication we have the risky sexual behavior that can lead to an unwanted pregnancy or even worse, a STD (sexualy transmitted disease), capable of influencing the normal course of the freshman’s life.
