Paisaje

Abstract

Este artículo trabaja el tema del paisaje y su representación en el cine chileno actual, particularmente en la película Verano del director José Luis Torres Leiva (Chile 2011). La idea de paisaje es trabajada según los planteamientos del filósofo Georg Simmel, y el crítico de arte W.J.T. Mitchell. De manera que Verano al mostrar desde el aparato cinematográfico un paisaje afectivo, junto con uno visual y sonoro, da cuenta también de una crisis interna de imposibilidad de diálogo y lenguaje al interior de los personajes que deambulan por este lugar de veraneo.

This paper examines the role of the landscape and its representation in cinema, in the film Verano by film director José Luis Torres Leiva (Chile 2011). The notion of landscape is worked through the ideas of the philosopher Georg Simmel, and art critic W.J.T. Mitchell. Verano uses film as a device to show an affective landscape together with a visualscape and soundscape. That movie portrait is an inner crisis of the impossibility of dialogue, and language within the characters who wonder around a summer vacation.
