Vibracionismo pictórico, ultraísmo literario

Abstract

El presente artículo propone un abordaje comparatista entre literatura y artes visuales. Se analizan correspondencias posibles entre las imágenes poéticas utilizadas por escritores ultraístas durante la década del ´20 y las imágenes pictóricas ‘vibrantes’ que los pintores uruguayos Rafael Barradas y Joaquín Torres-García plasmaron en obras contemporáneas al movimiento. Además, se discuten ciertas consideraciones de la crítica especializada en torno a la revista Alfar en sus dos etapas, la coruñesa y la montevideana, a la luz del epistolario de los pintores y de los aportes de la citada publicación. This work undertakes a comparison between Literature and the Visual Arts: it proposes a possible correspondence between the lyric images used by Ultraist writers during the twenties and the “vibrant” pictorial images that the Uruguayan painters Rafael Barradas and Joaquín Torres-García used in their contemporary paintings. Moreover, some opinions of the specialists dealing with the Alfar magazine in its two moments, the Corunean and the Montevidean period, will be discussed.
