Dilemas para una poesía de la tierra

Abstract

Es importante pensar los trastornos que ocasionó la modernidad en nuestra percepción del mundo y la naturaleza. Especialmente aquella modernidad que podemos asociar con el romanticismo en América Latina y con algunos poetas en Venezuela. Una poesía contemporánea que pretenda aproximarse a la naturaleza deberá desde mi punto de vista aprender a relacionarse con ella como si se tratase de un “otro” y desde esta perspectiva recuperar referentes más objetivos que aquellos que provienen de la idealización y la alabanza propias de la tradición romántica. It is important to contemplate the upheaval that modernity caused in our perception of the world and nature, particularly the modernity that can be associated with Romanticism in Latin America and with certain Venezuelan poets. A contemporary poetry that attempts to approach nature should, in my point of view, learn to relate to it as an “other” and from that perspective recover more objective referents than those that come from the idealization and praise proper to Romantic tradition.
