Corazón oeste

Abstract

Venezuela experimentó, en la transición de los años 50’ a los 60’, una inédita dinámica migratoria desde Europa occidental, en especial de personas provenientes de España, Italia y Portugal. En ese marco, trazado al amparo de la industria petrolera, arribaron muchos jóvenes cargados de sueños, tras la idea de un paraíso, la cual los animaba a cruzar el Atlántico en una aventura que para no pocos devino en asentamiento, en hogar, junto con la natural nostalgia por la tierra originaria, que siempre estuvo ahí, lo más cerca posible del corazón. In the transition from the 1950s to the 1960s, Venezuela underwent a hitherto unheard of migratory dynamics from Western Europe, especially with immigrants from Spain, Italy and Portugal. Within this framework, in the shadow of the oil industry, many young people full of dreams arrived with the idea of paradise, which encouraged them to cross the Atlantic on an adventure that for many turned into settlement, a home, together with their natural homesickness for the land of their birth, which always stayed with them, close to their hearts.
