Este trabalho tem como finalidade detetar causas e fatores que possam influenciar a erosão dentária. Pretende também alertar para um correto diagnóstico, tendo em conta o crescimento do número de casos nos últimos anos, assim como, o facto de poder ocorrer de forma precoce na infância. Desta forma, é importante um correto diagnóstico a fim de prevenir a evolução da patologia. Realizou-se uma pesquisa bibliográfica nas bases de dados eletrónicas: PubMed, Cochrane, Ebsco e Web of Sciene, entre um período temporal de 2019-2023. Os termos de pesquisa foram combinados com os marcadores booleanos “AND” e “OR”. A erosão na dentição decídua está relacionada com a alimentação e é necessário identificar os fatores de risco de forma precoce para ajudar na prevenção.Dental erosion is an irreversible, progressive chemical process with a multifactorial cause, which leads to the loss of mineralized tissues of the teeth.
