A diminuição do tempo de trabalho na consulta e a diversidade de sistemas disponíveis no mercado podem levar a um uso inadequado dos irrigantes relativamente ao seu tempo de ação e, portanto, na sua eficácia. Este trabalho tem como objetivo fazer uma revisão narrativa bibliográfica da literatura existente, a fim de perceber e avaliar as diferenças entre limas manuais e limas mecanizadas em relação à capacidade de irrigação.In recent times, Endodontics has undergone a great evolution in the field of instrumentation, mainly with the emergence of new alloys and the way they are manufactured, which allowed the manufacture of several mechanized endodontic systems available on the market.
