As implicações que o uso excessivo das tecnologias tem na saúde da sociedade são bastantes, podendo ser físicas, sociais e psicológicas, capazes de alterar certos comportamentos de uma pessoa. O presente estudo tem por objetivo analisar quais os efeitos prejudiciais na saúde das pessoas em geral, mas, principalmente, das crianças e jovens que são a geração mais influenciada pelas novas tecnologias, sendo a amostra do mesmo crianças da cidade do Porto, com idades compreendidas entre os 10 e os 16 anos. Para tal, recorreu-se ao método de investigação qualitativa, com a realização de entrevistas, que permitiram a elaboração dos resultados e a sua discussão a partir do enquadramento conceptual, tendo-se assim alcançado o objetivo do estudo.Addiction to the digital world is one of today's major problems in society, however, it is not recognized as such. The implications that the excessive use of technologies have on the health of society are many, and can be physical, social and psychological, capable of altering certain behaviors of a person. The present study aims to analyze the harmful effects on the health of people in general, but mainly of children and young people who are the generation most influenced by new technologies, being the sample of the same children from the city of Porto, aged between between 10 and 16 years old.
