Materiais e Métodos : As buscas foram realizadas nos websites Pubmed e ScienceDirect, utilizando as seguintes palavras-chave: "aphthous", "recurrent aphthous stomatitis", com o objectivo de angariar e debater o máximo de informação sobre este tema.
