Dentre as vantagens desta técnica, destaca-se a possibilidade de instalar uma prótese implantosuportada em carga imediata. Levando em consideração a importância do correto planejamento cirúrgico e protético para que haja sucesso nas reabilitações orais implantosuportadas, o presente estudo tem como objetivo evidenciar na literatura científica as indicações e vantagens da utilização da técnica All-on-four. Trata-se de um trabalho de revisão de literatura, desenvolvida através de um levantamento bibliográfico nas bases de dados da Biblioteca Virtual de Saúde, PubMed/ Medline. De acordo com a literatura consultada, pode-se considerar que a utilização da técnica All-On-Four obteve um considerável índice de sucesso clínico no que se refere a osseointegração dos implantes dentários e a sobrevida das próteses implanto-suportadas. Além disso, apresentou-se como uma excelente modalidade terapêutica utilizada para reabilitar esteticamente e funcionalmente os pacientes parcialmente ou totalmente edêntulos. É importante ressaltar que esse método deve ser avaliado como uma alternativa aos procedimentos de enxertos ósseos, já que o mesmo permite a instalação de implantes mais longos, diminuindo o comprimento do cantilever, sendo menos invasivo e proporcionando uma redução do custo, tempo de tratamento e desconforto pós-operatório.The All-on-four technique aims to rehabilitate totally edentulous patients through the use of four anterior and posterior implants strategically positioned to compensate for bone deficiency at the site. Among the advantages of this technique, the possibility of installing an implant-supported prosthesis shortly after the surgery is highlighted. Taking into account the importance of correct surgical and prosthetic planning for successful implant-supported oral rehabilitation, the present study aims to show in the scientific literature the indications and advantages of using the All-on-four technique. It is a literature review article, developed through a bibliographic survey in the Virtual Health Library databases, PubMed / Medline. According to the consulted literature, it can be considered that the use of the All-On-Four technique exhibited a considerable rate of clinical success with regard to the osseointegration of dental implants and the survival of implant-supported prostheses. In addition, it presented itself as an excellent therapeutic modality used to rehabilitate patients partially or totally edentulous aesthetically and functionally.
