Este trabalho de investigação objetiva analisar o fenômeno da blockchain e identificar se este é a gênese de um novo ecossistema social e financeiro. Como também, avaliar se uma estrutura organizacional realmente precisa implementar a blockchain. E ainda, abordar os impactos sociais e econômicos que resultam da sua implementação. Diante do recente aparecimento deste instrumento, a revisão da literatura incluí relatórios acadêmicos e empresariais. Os objetivos específicos constituem-se pela análise do nível de desenvolvimento da blockchain em diferentes países e setores de atividade, pela identificação de opiniões e atitudes em relação a blockchain, como uma ferramenta para mudanças sociais e financeiras, e ainda, auferir a sensibilidade dos especialistas quanto à confiança, a segurança, ao compartilhamento e recomendação do instrumento. A metodologia qualitativa incluiu um painel de especialistas representantes de 8 países. Como resultado, foi criado um construto que apresenta três diferentes abordagens: hoje, os impactos e o futuro. Na validação da investigação, realizou-se um estudo quantitativo baseado na criação de um questionário. O resultado apresentou 325 respostas permitindo a construção de um modelo de integração de blockchain. Assim, este trabalho pode ser o ponto de partida para futuros investigadores que buscam criar uma conexão entre a descentralização da informação e a segurança numa sociedade colaborativa que busca ser competitiva e sustentável. Esta tese contribui com uma base de dados de 49 países, que reflete os desafios da blockchain numa sociedade em transformação. A blockchain é um instrumento que já está incorporado na sociedade.Blockchain has been at the root of the rise of innumerous frameworks for applications and analysis. This thesis’ aim is to investigate the blockchain phenomenon and to successfully identify if this instrument creates a new social and financial ecosystem. Not only, but during this research we will be evaluating if an organization structural truly needs to implement blockchain. In addition, we will be studying the social and economic impacts that result from the use of blockchain. As this technology only recently emerged, the literary review is scarce, so our research relies in both academic and entrepreneurial reports. Our specific objectives for this research were to characterize the level of development of blockchain in different countries, to identify the types of blockchain in the different activity sectors, to classify opinions and attitudes regarding blockchain as a tool for social and financial changes and to gain expert insight into confidence, security, sharing and recommendation of blockchain. For our qualitative methodology we interviewed a panel of experts from 8 different countries. As a result, a construct was created that analyses three different areas: today, the impacts and the future. To validate our investigation, we conducted a quantitative research that consists in the creation of an online survey. As a reflection of the questionnaire with 325 responses, a blockchain integration model was constructed. Therefore, this work is the starting point for future researchers that seek to create a connection between the decentralization of information and security in a society that is fully collaborative to be competitive and sustainable. The contribute of this thesis is of a database that truthfully reflects blockchains’ challenges in a changing society in 49 countries. Blockchain is, indeed, a tool that has already incorporated society.Le système dit blockchain est à l'origine de l'apparition d'un nombre inconsidérable de bases d'applications et d'analyses. Le but de cette thèse est d'examiner le phénomène blockchain et d'identifier avec succès si cet outil génère de nouveaux écosystèmes sociaux et financiers. Nous évaluerons, lors de nos recherches si une organisation structurelle se doit de mettre en application cette technique. En outre nous étudierons les impacts économiques résultant de l'utilisation de blockchain. Etant donné que cette technique a émergé que récemment, les écrits la concernant sont rares, ainsi notre recherche repose à la fois sur des ressources académiques et des rapports d'entreprises. Nos objectifs spécifiques pour cette recherche sont de caractériser le niveau de développement du système blockchain dans différents pays, d'en identifier les types pour différents secteurs d'activités, répertorier les opinions et attitudes regardant blockchain comme outil social et financier d'évolution et d'obtenir une expertise à propos de la confiance, sécurité, échange et recommandation de blockchain. En ce qui concerne notre méthodologie, nous avons interrogé un panel d'experts d'issus de 8 pays différents. Le résultat de cette enquête un schéma a été établi qui couvre trois domaines : aujourd’hui, les répercussions et l'avenir. Pour valider nos recherches nous avons mis en place une enquête sur les réseaux sociaux, obtenant 325 réponses créant ainsi une blockchain en lui-même. Ainsi, ce travail de recherche est le point de départ pour de futures explorations désirant établir une connexion entre la décentralisation de l'information et la sécurité de ces dernières dans une société de développement durable et compétitive. La contribution de cette thèse est une base de données reflétant réellement les défis du système blockchain dans une société en constante évolution au sein d'un groupe de 49 pays.
