Esta técnica favorece a manutenção da arquitetura do alvéolo, evitando o completo colapso das paredes ósseas que segue o processo de remodelação habitual, com o comprometimento da conformação do rebordo e arcabouço mucoso. Destaca-se ainda a redução no tempo de espera para a obtenção de uma reabilitação implanto suportada. O objetivo deste trabalho foi analisar através de uma revisão de literatura, juntamente com técnicas atuais para favorecer a manutenção de papilas e contornos gengivais.
