Tendo como objetivo compreender como os idosos são alvo desses crimes, a perceção dos mesmos sobre este fenómeno e ainda as dificuldades que enfrentam para denunciá-los. Este estudo propõe a utilização de entrevistas abertas / não estruturadas como principal ferramenta. A escolha deste tipo de ferramenta é a mais aconselhável para a compreensão de temas sensíveis e complexos como este, permitindo assim registar a experiência subjetiva dos idosos e proporcionando uma compreensão mais profunda e humanizada relativamente a esta problemática. Com esta proposta empírica, pretende-se contribuir para uma sensibilização social maior e criar reflexões sobre estratégias de apoio e prevenção que possam garantir direitos e dignidade para os idosos.This graduation project presents a qualitative investigation about the victimization of elderly people, addresses crimes such as physical violence, economic violence, psychological violence, among others in the aging context. The investigation aims to understand how the elderly are targets of these kinds of crimes, to understand their perception of this phenomenon and also the difficulties that they face to report the cases. This study proposes the use of open / unstructured interviews as the main tool. The choice of this type of tool is the most recommended in order to understand sensitive and complex topics such as this one, thus allowing the subjective experience of these elderly people to be registered and providing a deeper and more humanized understanding of this problem.
