Metodologia: a pesquisa foi realizada com o motor de pesquisa Google Scholar, sem limite temporal, incluindo os idiomas português, espanhol e inglês e utilizando a expressão: “Percutaneous electrolysis AND (patellar tendinopathy OR Jumper Knee)”, de modo a selecionar estudos experimentais que avaliassem o efeito da EPI® na tendinopatia do rotuliano. Resultados: 5 estudos cumpriram os critérios de elegibilidade definidos, tendo apresentado resultados para um total de 179 indivíduos. De forma geral, participantes sujeitos ao método da EPI® apresentaram uma melhoria significativa no que diz respeito ao parâmetro da funcionalidade e da dor. Conclusão: os estudos incluídos sugerem que a EPI® tem efeitos positivos no tratamento da tendinopatia do rotuliano, tanto ao nível da função como da dor.Aim: to synthesize the evidence about the effect of the intratissue percutaneous electrolysis - EPI® in individuals with patellar tendinopathy. Methodology: the research was conducted with the search engine Google Scholar, with no time limit, including the languages Portuguese, Spanish and English using the following expression: “Percutaneous electrolysis AND (patellar tendinopathy OR Jumper Knee), aiming to select experimental studies that evaluated the effects of the EPI® in the patellar tendinopathy. Results: 5 studies met the defined eligibility criteria, having presented results for a total of 179 individuals. In general, participants submitted to the EPI® method showed a significant improvement in the functionality and pain parameters.
