A interface criada entre a estrutura dentária e a restauração indirecta é também um factor crucial no seu sucesso clínico, impedindo a microinfiltração marginal e a consequente recidiva de cárie ou a sua retenção no local de cimentação. Os cimentos de resina são os materiais de escolha para reabilitar restaurações indiretas de resina composta. Atualmente, esses cimentos de resina podem ser classificados como total-etch, self-etch e self-adhesive, saber quando usá-las e qual o método de aplicação é crucial para o sucesso de cada reabilitação. O objetivo estipulado para este trabalho foi analisar os principais materiais e suas limitações, indicações clínicas e protocolos de cimentação/colagem de restaurações indiretas, tendo sido efectuada uma revisão bibliográfica em diferentes bases de dados.Indirect restorations can be made with composite resins or in different types of ceramics. The different result of longevity has to do with different mechanical, physical properties, and the ability to simulate the natural dental aesthetic characteristics. The interface created between the dental structure and the indirect restoration is also a crucial factor in its clinical success, preventing marginal microleakage and the consequent caries recurrence or its retention in the cementation site. Resin cements are the materials of choice for rehabilitating indirect composite resin restorations. Currently, these resin cements can be classified as total-etch, self-etch and self-adhesive, knowing when to use them and which method of application is crucial for the success of each rehabilitation.
