No serviço de Urgência, é preciso cuidar do outro numa situação de doença súbita, e este cuidado tem que ser realizado num curto espaço de tempo, podendo levar a prevenção de infecção a um segundo plano. Contudo a prevenção de infecção deve estar iminente aos cuidados com o intuito de não agravar o estado de saúde que já por si se encontra deficitário aquando do recurso ao serviço de urgência. Assim, temos como principal objectivo avaliar as técnicas executadas pelos alunos do 4º Ano que realizaram ensino clínico de Urgência, e identificar técnicas de prevenções básicas de infecção e controlo pelos alunos, utilizadas durante o estágio. A componente teórica deste trabalho é o resultado duma pesquisa bibliográfica intensa e que se encontra exposta num texto que pretende dar ao leitor a ideia de todos os pontos que considerei fundamentais para a compreensão da problemática em estudo. Para a realização deste estudo, foi escolhida uma amostra de 40 alunos do 4º Ano da Licenciatura em Enfermagem. Da análise dos questionários aplicados ocorre dois grandes temas, as vivências dos alunos em ensino clínico e as técnicas utilizadas pelos mesmos. Os resultados obtidos demonstram que, a maioria dos elementos da amostra estudada poderá não estar desperta para algumas problemáticas relacionadas com a prevenção e controlo da infecção hospitalar pois ainda são verificados erros graves a nível da prestação de cuidados, por parte da amostra. O estudo revelou uma necessidade de motivar e de sensibilizar os alunos em relação á problemática das Infecções Hospitalares, havendo uma maior necessidade de formação. Hospital infections are an issue that has dragged on for many years and will always be in day-to-day lives of nurses, as is always present when the conduct of care to the patient. In emergency service, we must care for others in a situation of sudden illness, and this caution has to be done in a short time and may lead to prevention of infection to the background. However the prevention of infection must be imminent to care in order not to aggravate the health status which in itself is deficient when resorting to the emergency department. Thus, we aim to evaluate the techniques performed by the students of 4th year clinical training who performed emergency and identify basic techniques of prevention and control of infection by the students used during the internship. The theoretical component of this work is the result of a literature search and intense it is exposed in a text that aims to give the reader an idea of all the points that I considered essential to understanding the problem under study. For this study, was selected a sample of 40 students of 4th year of Nursing Degree. Analysis of the questionnaires came two major themes, the experiences of students in clinical training and techniques they use. The results show that most elements of the sample may not be awake for some issues related to the prevention and control of nosocomial infection because serious errors are still observed at the level of care on the part of the sample. The survey showed a need to motivate and sensitize students about the problem of hospital infections, with a greater need for training.porbachelor thesis
