Methods: This review was conducted through a systematic search in the PubMed database. Human studies reporting non-surgical treatment of peri-implantitis with 3 or more months of follow up published in English language were evaluated. A review was performed to evaluate the effectiveness of the different protocols employed in the included investigations. Results: Ten articles were obtained and assessed, comparing the outcomes of the technique used as treatment of peri-implantitis. The clinical parameter assessed were probing pocket depth (PD), bleeding on probing (BoP), suppuration on probing (SoP) and plaque index (PI). Conclusions: Promising results were published recently regarding the effectiveness of non-surgical treatment of peri-implantitis. Further studies are required to make it possible to support one treatment technique to be the gold-standard against peri-implantitis.engPeri-implantitisNon-surgicalTreatmentTherapyDental implantsNon-surgical treatment of peri-implantitis: a literature reviewmaster thesis202721590
