O desmembramento da Ucrânia e o impacto do conflito na população civil (2013-2018)

Abstract

O cenário geopolítico contemporâneo ucraniano sofreu alterações significativas no que concerne à sua estabilidade social e geográfica. O presente trabalho visa, em primeira análise, a compreensão desse processo desde o início da revolução em Kiev até ao despertar do conflito em Donbas e, posteriormente, em segunda análise, constatar o impacto do conflito na população e a resposta humanitária. A questão que alicerça o contexto do conflito geopolítico, social e militar, e o seu respetivo impacto na população, é se podemos considerar os eventos estudados um desmembramento de um país, partindo das origens dos conflitos, tanto internos como externos, e nesse contexto analisar a resposta humanitária internacional às necessidades da população civil afetada na região de Donbas.

The contemporary Ukranian scenario suffered significant changes on what concerns its stability at the social and geographic levels. The present work aims first to address the proccess since the beginning of the revolution in Kiev until the conflict in the Donbas region and, secondly, the consequent impact on civil population and the international humanitarian response. The question underlying the study of the context of the conflict in geopolitical, social and military terms and its impact on civil population is: is it possible to consider the events as the dismantling process of a country? The study starts with the origins of the conflicts, internally and externally, and in that context analyzes the international humanitarian response to the needs of the affected population in the region of Donbas.
